An Hour for Civics
Today, you can take one simple action to ensure that Idaho's youth can understand and apply the principles of the United States Constitution and our justice system. We are asking you, our fellow attorneys and friends of civic education, to join us in support of An Hour for Civics, which raises much-needed funding for the Idaho Law Foundation's Mock Trial Competition, the We the People civic education program, and the YMCA's Youth in Government Program.
A contribution equal to just one billable hour is all we're asking from each attorney or $100 from non-attorneys.
The need is great because previous sources for funding -- the IOLTA Program and Congressional funding -- have greatly diminished in recent years. With our help, we can ensure Idaho's children learn the important principles of our democracy and the tools to participate in government.
We encourage law firms to organize firm-wide campaigns.
